Goodcents franchisee opens Northland location, plans 9 more in the Kansas City metro

A new franchisee for De Soto, Kansas-based Goodcents has opened a Parkville location and plans nine more area locations over the next five years.

Owner Moussa Sobaiti will have a grand opening for the location, at 7502 N.W. River Park Drive, in early 2022. It has interior seating but also an outside walk-up window, and he expects a strong carryout business.

The menu features Goodcents sub sandwiches, Goodcents To Go meals (packaged dinner entrées such as pastas, pot roast, salmon and chicken) and freshly baked large cookies.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays.

Sobaiti plans an August opening for his next Goodcents, which will be in his new TA Express travel center in Edgerton, in southwest Johnson County. He also owns a travel center in Edwardsville, in Wyandotte County, and several convenience stores in the Kansas City area. He was previously director of engineering for a Silicon Valley firm but now lives in Overland Park with his family.
