Kansas City shop has done so well, it’s opening a third location, in Johnson County
Emily Bordner, owner of EB and Co. accessories shop, will open her third permanent location in 2022.
Bordner is taking a 1,000-square-foot-plus space in Hawthorne Plaza, 4949 W. 119th St., Overland Park. She plans to open in April.
“A lot of the local love comes from the Kansas side, and our most successful event is the Holiday Boutique in Overland Park,” she said.
She started selling handmade leather handbags at festivals and other events in 2012, and then expanded to jewelry, art prints and accessories.
She also had pop-ups in Made in KC Marketplace on the Country Club Plaza and in Lee’s Summit.
She opened a Brookside storefront in 2019, and then a Plaza shop earlier this year. The shops sell mostly jewelry and hair accessories, along with scarves, clutches and other items.
She has a holiday pop-up store in the Northland’s Zona Rosa.
