Kansas City area health violations: Bamboo Penny’s, Austins, Neighborhood Cafe, more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links are not available).

Austins Bar & Grill, 2103 E. 151st St., Olathe, had nine priority violations during a Nov. 8 routine inspection.

Bamboo Penny’s, Park Place, 5270 W. 116th Place, Leawood, had nine priority violations during a Nov. 4 first operational inspection after licensing.

El Saguaro Mexican Grill & Night Club, 920 E. Old 56 Highway, Olathe, had nine priority violations during a Nov. 3 joint inspection.

McKeever’s Price Chopper, 19601 W. 101st St., Lenexa, had nine priority violations during a Nov. 2 routine inspection.

La Fuente Mexican Street Food, 9222 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had eight priority violations during a Nov. 2 routine inspection.

Sakura Sushi Train, 7474 Nieman Road, Shawnee, had eight priority violations during a Nov. 8 follow-up inspection.

Six Mile Chophouse, 4931 W. Sixth St., Lawrence, had eight priority violations during a Nov. 3 routine inspection.

Ricco’s Italian Bistro, 11801 College Blvd., Overland Park, had seven priority violations during a Nov. 3 routine inspection.

Neighborhood Cafe, 7531 Wornall Road, had eight critical violations during a Nov. 3 routine inspection.

Baramee Thai Bistro, 1810 Baltimore Ave., had seven critical violations during a Nov. 1 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a Nov. 5 follow-up inspection.

The Dubliner, Power & Light District, 170 E. 14th St., had seven critical violations during a Nov. 2 routine inspection.
