Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.
Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links are not available).
▪ Pegah’s Family Restaurant, 8701 Shawnee Mission Parkway, Merriam, had 14 priority violations during an Oct. 28 routine inspection.
▪ MidAmerica Nazarene University, dining hall on the campus at 2030 E. College Way, Olathe, had 10 priority violations during an Oct. 28 routine inspection.
▪ El Salvadoreno, 9860 W. 87th St., Overland Park, had nine priority violations during an Oct. 27 routine inspection.
▪ McDonald’s, 7926 W. 151st St., Overland Park, had nine priority violations during an Oct. 27 routine inspection.
▪ Spin Pizza, 14230 W. 119th St., Olathe, had nine priority violations during an Oct. 26 routine inspection.
▪ El Mercado Fresco, 2102 Metropolitan Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, had eight priority violations during an Oct. 26 routine inspection.
▪ Jalisco’s Restaurant, 5000 State Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, had eight priority violations during an Oct. 27 routine inspection.
▪ Pilot Travel Center, 4510 Kansas Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, had seven priority violations during an Oct. 29 follow-up inspection. It had one priority violation during a Nov. 1 follow-up inspection.
