Kansas City area health code violations: Roni’s Pub, Parker at the Fontaine, more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links are not available).

Roni’s Pub + Kitchen, 7955 E. Frontage Road, Overland Park, had 10 priority violations during a Sept. 27 inspection for an expired license.

Han Shin Japanese Steakhouse, 7254 W. 121st St., Overland Park, had nine priority violations during a Sept. 29 routine inspection.

Bull Creek Distillery, 20559 S. Lone Elm Road, Spring Hill, had eight priority violations during an Oct. 1 routine inspection.

The Casual Foodie, Shawnee food truck, had seven priority violations during a Sept. 29 routine inspection.

Ooh La La Fitness, 1530 E. Kansas City Road, Suite 125B, Olathe, had seven priority violations during a Sept. 30 inspection for an expired license.

Parker at The Fontaine, 901 W. 48th Place, had 10 critical violations during a Sept. 27 routine inspection.

Billie’s Grocery, 3216 Gillham Plaza, Suite 100, had eight critical violations during a Sept. 23 routine inspection. It had one critical violation during a Sept. 29 follow-up inspection.

Red Apple Diner, 211 N.W. Barry Road, had eight critical violations during a Sept. 30 routine inspection.

Red Snapper, 8430 Ward Parkway, had eight critical violations during a Sept. 20 routine inspection. It had four critical violations during a Sept. 29 follow-up inspection. The restaurant recently posted a “temporarily closed” announcement on its Facebook page, but a sign on the door says it is closed “permanently.”
