New Kansas City development signed a Whataburger. Now it will add a QuikTrip, too
A new Northland center is not only getting a Whataburger, it will be home to a new QuikTrip.
QuikTrip plans to start construction in late fall on its new store in the Valley View Shoppes, at Missouri 152 and North Booth Avenue near Liberty.
It will be one of QuikTrip’s new Generation 3-Mini designs — about 4,900-square-feet with eight gasoline dispensers, a QT Kitchen, a grab-and-go prepared foods area and more.
A new Whataburger franchise, KMO Burger, led by Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and some Texas-based investors, previously announced that it would open a restaurant in the center in fall 2022.
Valley View Shoppes will have 55,000 square feet of retail, restaurants and neighborhood services such as salons, and 15,000 square feet of office. More than a dozen luxury homes also are planned nearby.
Construction started in early 2018. Andy’s Frozen Custard, the first tenant, opened in 2020.
