New Kansas City development signed a Whataburger. Now it will add a QuikTrip, too

A new Northland center is not only getting a Whataburger, it will be home to a new QuikTrip.

QuikTrip plans to start construction in late fall on its new store in the Valley View Shoppes, at Missouri 152 and North Booth Avenue near Liberty.

It will be one of QuikTrip’s new Generation 3-Mini designs — about 4,900-square-feet with eight gasoline dispensers, a QT Kitchen, a grab-and-go prepared foods area and more.

A new Whataburger franchise, KMO Burger, led by Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and some Texas-based investors, previously announced that it would open a restaurant in the center in fall 2022.
