New First Watch restaurant in Johnson County to have patio and signature cocktails
Breakfast, brunch and lunch chain First Watch is expanding with a new location in Olathe.
The company said it will open a 4,500-square-foot restaurant with a bar and a patio at 1177 W. Santa Fe St. An October opening is scheduled.
First Watch offers traditional dishes such as pancakes, omelets, frittatas, waffles, sandwiches and salads, along with quinoa power bowls and avocado toast. Seasonal items include the Watermelon Wake-up with watermelon, pineapple, lime and mint, and bananas Foster French toast.
It launched its cocktail program in late 2020, offering classic cocktails along with such signature drinks as Cinnamon Toast Cereal Milk with coconut rum, cold brew coffee, coconut milk and agave nectar, and Vodka Kale Tonic with gluten-free vodka, fresh juiced kale, Fuji apple, English cucumber and lemon.
This will be the chain’s 16th area location and second in Olathe. First Watch entered the market in 1988.
It has more than 420 restaurants in 28 states. The operations are open daily from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
