KC area’s multiple health code violations: Northland Cheddar’s, JoCo 888 market, more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas City Health Department cited these operations for seven or more critical health code violations:

Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, 8380 N. Booth Ave., had 10 critical violations during a March 9 routine inspection.

The Homesteader Cafe, 100 E. Seventh St., had 10 critical violations during a March 12 routine inspection.

Pepperjax Grill, 4179 Sterling Ave., had 10 critical violations during a March 10 routine inspection.

Texas Tom’s, 6950 Prospect Ave., had nine critical violations during a March 8 routine inspection.

Affare, 1911 Main St., had eight critical violations during a March 5 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a March 12 follow-up inspection.

Red Snapper, 8430 Ward Parkway, had eight critical violations during a March 8 routine inspection.

Red Bridge Barrio Mexican Kitchen + Bar, 11118 Holmes Road, had seven critical violations during a March 12 routine inspection.

El Relajo, 2313 E. 12th St., had its license temporarily suspended because it did not open/operate within 30 days after the permit was issued.

888 Int’l Market, 10118 W. 119th St., Overland Park, had 11 priority violations during a March 15 routine inspection.

Fortune Wok & Sushi, 14537 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had eight priority violations during a March 9 routine inspection.

Bo Lings Chinese Restaurant, 8973 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had seven priority violations during a March 11 inspection following a complaint.

Elite Cafe II, 7015 College Blvd., Overland Park, had seven priority violations during a March 10 routine inspection.

Granite City Food & Brewery, Legends Outlets Kansas City, 1701 Village West Parkway, Kansas City, Kansas, had seven priority violations during a March 9 routine inspection.
