Smoked corned beef, Irish coffee: Where to get St. Pat’s Day specials in Kansas City
Just like every holiday during the pandemic, St. Patrick’s Day will be a little different.
But with restrictions easing and patios opening during nice weather, consumers can still mark the event in a variety of ways.
The National Retail Federation recently surveyed 8,211 adults and found nearly half planned to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this year. But with COVID-19 guidelines in mind, many will avoid gatherings. About 32% plan a special dinner or celebration at home. They expect to spend $40.77, on average, making it a $5.1 billion celebration.
In the Kansas City area, every St. Patrick’s Day parade is canceled except for one, in Leavenworth. But several restaurants are still offering St. Patrick’s Day specials, and many of the items will be available for carryout or delivery.
