Multiple health code violations for 2 Kansas City fried chicken spots, JoCo Mexican
Here are area restaurants with seven or more critical or priority health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.
Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas City Health Department cited these operations for seven or more critical health code violations.
▪ Sweet Combforts & Wingman Kitchen, Westport, 4117 Pennsylvania Ave., had 20 critical violations during a Feb. 12 routine inspection. It had seven critical violations during a Feb. 18 follow-up inspection.
▪ Gringo Loco Your Neighborhood Market, deli, 3825 Independence Ave., had nine critical violations during a Feb. 12 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a Feb. 19 follow-up inspection.
▪ Rice House KC, 13003 State Line Road, had eight critical violations during a Feb. 13 routine inspection. It had two critical violations during a Feb. 18 follow-up inspection.
▪ RC’s Restaurant & Lounge, 330 E. 135th St., had seven critical violations during a Feb. 13 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a Feb. 18 follow-up inspection.
▪ Big B’s, deli, 3800 E. Gregory Blvd., had seven critical violations during a Feb. 18 routine inspection.

▪ Ambica Foods, 9054 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had nine priority violations during a Feb. 18 inspection following a complaint.
▪ Dos Reales Authentic Mexican Restaurant, 6453 Quivira Road, Shawnee, had seven priority violations during a Feb. 17 inspection following a complaint.
