Applebee’s new ghost kitchen: Wings with Cheetos Flamin’ Hot sauce, fried cheese bites

Applebee’s Grill + Bar is the latest restaurant company to jump on the ghost kitchen trend, and it has one of the most popular menu items — chicken wings.

Its Cosmic Wings offers traditional and boneless wings with a choice of sauces, including exclusive Original Cheetos and Cheetos Flamin’ Hot wing sauce.

Other menu items include chicken tenders, fried Cheetos cheese bites, waffle fries and onion rings.

According to the National Restaurant Association, the term ghost kitchen refers broadly to any operation that only prepares orders for off-premises dining.

Cosmic Wings is operating out of nearly 1,300 Applebee’s but is only available by delivery through Uber Eats. To kick off the new ghost kitchen, Uber Eats is not charging a fee for Cosmic Wing orders of $15 or more through Feb. 28.
