Is an Amazon store moving into the old Tesla spot on the Country Club Plaza?
Amazon Bookstore has taken out a permit for a corner spot on the Country Club Plaza.
It would open in the former Tesla space at 450 Nichols Road.
Amazon said media questions must be submitted via email. But officials did not respond to email requests this week seeking comment on the new store.
Kasey Vena, general manager of the Plaza, declined to comment.
On its website, Amazon lists about two dozen Amazon Books stores, and about as many Amazon 4-Star stores (with 10 under construction). The Amazon 4-Star stores carry items from the most popular categories, including consumer electronics, kitchen, toys, books and games.
Tesla relocated to 10111 State Line Road.
