Shatto Milk commemorates Chiefs’ win with collector’s bottle, chocolate cherry flavor
Many glasses have been raised in honor of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory. This one may just be a bit more wholesome.
Shatto Milk Co., a local supplier from Osborn, Missouri, is commemorating the title with a “Kansas City as World Champions” bottle that will hit store shelves this week.
The bottles will have the word “CHAMPS” in yellow sprinkled with a red confetti design and Shatto’s signature cow head logo. Inside, they will be filled with chocolate cherry milk.
Shatto’s home delivery customers can pre-order the bottles. The bottles also will be sold in the company’s farm store in Osborn starting Wednesday and in some area stores starting Thursday. A total of 18,000 bottles will be available.
The family has been farming in Osborn for more than 100 years, establishing its dairy farm more than 60 years ago. In June 2003, they began processing and bottling their own milk under the Shatto Milk Co. brand.
Now they offer a variety of milk flavors and products like fruit punch, tea, lemonade, orange drink, ice cream, butter, aged cheeses, cheese curds and milk soap.
Shatto won a Super Bowl wager with California’s Nutcher Milk Co., which shared its losing milk bath on social media.
