Boulevard Brewery is planning a special beer to celebrate Chiefs’ Super Bowl win

When the Royals won the 2015 World Series, Boulevard Brewing Co., put out a special “Crown Town Ale” to celebrate the victory.

After Sporting Kansas City’s 2013 MLS Cup victory, Boulevard produced a “championship ale.”

Both were in 25-ounce bottles that were snapped up quickly by fans.

With the Chiefs having won Super Bowl LIV, the question has been asked and answered by Boulevard:

It’s worth noting that, like the Royals’ World Series beer, this new beer makes no mention of Chiefs or the Super Bowl, because of copyright issues.

On Thursday, Boulevard shared an update and perhaps the color of the beer that will be released:

Natalie Gershon, the vice president of marketing for Boulevard, told The Star the beer will be released in the spring.

“I promise,” Gershon wrote in an email, “it will be worth the wait!”

Boulevard isn’t the only Kansas City company with plans to release a special adult beverage.

The McCormick Distilling Co. said 360 Vodka will release a World Championship Chiefs bottle to commemorate the season. It is expected out in July and will be available in Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska.

“Like everyone else in this town, we are big fans of the Chiefs,” McCormick Distilling president Mick Harris said in a news release.
