In Kansas, Mexican restaurant, barbecue and grocery hit with multiple code violations

Here are recent Kansas City-area restaurant inspections. Inspections were compiled for Feb. 4.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations. Direct links are not available.

▪ El Potro Mexican Restaurant, 13035 Canaan Drive, Bonner Springs, had 22 priority violations during a Jan. 27 standardization inspection.

▪ Dari Dine, 101 W. Kump Ave., Bonner Springs, had 17 priority violations during a Jan. 27 standardization inspection.

▪ Smokey’s on the Blvd BBQ, 8669 W. 135th St., Overland Park, had 16 priority violations during a Jan. 30 standardization inspection.

▪ Whole Foods Market, 14615 W. 119th St., Olathe, had 15 priority violations during a Jan. 30 standardization inspection.

▪ Sarku Japan, Oak Park Mall, 11521 W. 95th St., Overland Park, had 13 priority violations during a Jan. 28 standardization inspection.

▪ Fronteras Restaurant, 175 N. Moonlight Road, Gardner, had 12 priority violations during a Jan. 30 routine inspection.

▪ Sonic Drive-In, 8501 W. 151st St., Overland Park, had 11 priority violations during a Jan. 28 standardization inspection.

▪ Hira’s Steak & Sushi, 15202 W. 119th St., Olathe, had 10 priority violations during a Jan. 28 inspection following a complaint.

▪ IHOP, 20014 W. 153rd St., Olathe, had 10 priority violations during a Jan. 29 routine inspection.

▪ La Carreta, 949 E. Lincoln Lane, Gardner, had 10 priority violations during a Jan. 27 routine inspection.

▪ Bambu, 3920 Rainbow Blvd., Kansas City, Kansas, had nine priority violations during a Jan. 27 routine inspection.

▪ The Culinary Center of KC, 7920 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, had nine priority violations during a Jan. 29 routine inspection.

▪ Ginger Sue’s, 14178 W. 119th St., Olathe, had nine priority violations during a Jan. 28 routine inspection.

▪ Stix, Legends Outlets, 1847 Village West Parkway, Suite K101, Kansas City, Kansas, had nine priority violations during a Jan. 28 routine inspection.

▪ The Basha Cuisine, 7016 W. 105th St., Overland Park, had eight priority violations during a Jan. 28 routine inspection.

▪ China Garden Buffet, 5860 Antioch Road, Merriam, had eight priority violations during a Jan. 29 inspection following a complaint.

▪ KC Buffet, 6457 Quivira Road, Shawnee, had eight priority violations during a Jan. 30 inspection following a complaint.

▪ KC Pan Factory, 115 S. Clairborne Road, Suite A, Olathe, had eight priority violations during a Jan. 30 routine inspection.

▪ Pie Five Pizza Co., 15404 W. 119th St., Olathe, had seven priority violations during a Jan. 29 routine inspection.
