A new Center for Missouri Studies, designed by Gould Evans architects, will take shape in Columbia.

The $35 million building, which will house the State Historical Society of Missouri, will be funded by state revenue bonds.

Groundbreaking is planned for early 2017 with occupancy expected in 2019.

The building will be open to the public for historical research and also will house the society’s administrative offices and provide a large lobby available for public receptions and other events.
