FishNet, Accuvant deal is done

A new cyber security firm with combined revenue of about $1.5 billion has been created by the merger of Accuvant and FishNet Security.

The Denver-based Accuvant and Overland Park-based FishNet together employ about 1,400 and serve about 10,000 clients with 60 office locations in the United States and Canada.

A new firm name is to be announced later this year.

Dan Burns is the chief executive officer of the new company and Mark Williams is the president and chief operating officer.

The combined company is majority-owned by a private equity fund managed by Blackstone. Minority ownership is held by Sverica International, Investcorp and management of the new company.
