Omaha company completes purchase of Olathe-based Elecsys
Omaha-based Lindsay Corp. said it completed its $70.5 million purchase of Elecsys Corp., based in Olathe.
Shareholders of Elecsys approved the sale at $17.50 a share in a vote Thursday. The deal had been announced in November.
Lindsay makes irrigation equipment used mostly in agricultural markets, helping to increase or stabilize crop production and conserve water, energy and labor. It had said Elecsys’s machine-to-machine communications would boost its strategy in technologies for managing water use.
