Kansas City development group hires international trade expert

Narbeli Galindo has been named by the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City to the new position of coordinator of international business development.

Galindo, who has more than 25 years of international business experience, will consult with businesses on import and export opportunities, work with international companies to open facilities in Kansas City and manage international dignitaries during visits to the city.

She assumed her new post Jan 1.

Galindo most recently was managing director of her own importing business. She was also a business and finance professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She has also worked at Sprint, Cerner, AT&T and Warner-Lambert.
