Southwest is adding nonstop KCI-San Antonio flight starting Nov. 6

Southwest Airlines on Thursday said it will offer nonstop service between Kansas City International Airport and San Antonio International Airport beginning Nov. 6.

The one daily nonstop flight is scheduled to depart KCI at 4:55 p.m. and arrive in San Antonio about 7:10 p.m. Return service from San Antonio will depart at 10:10 a.m., with arrival here about 12:05 p.m.

According to the Kansas City Aviation Department, San Antonio is the largest destination from KCI without nonstop service. At one time, Midwest Express provided nonstop service between the two cities.

Also on Nov. 6, Southwest will add a nonstop flight to Phoenix, for a total of four per day.
