Sprint executive Sandra Price joins Great Plains board

Kansas City-based Great Plains Energy, which owns Kansas City Power & Light, has added Sprint executive Sandra Price to its board of directors.

Price is Sprint’s executive vice president of human resources. She joined the Overland Park-based wireless company in 1993 from a career in education.

She joins former Sprint CEO Gary Forsee, who also serves on Great Plains’ board and had served as president of the four-campus University of Missouri System.

Great Plains’ selection of Price won praise from the Central Exchange Win|Win campaign to increase gender diversity on corporate boards and executive offices.
