Milbank Manufacturing selects veteran executive Brad Skinner to be president
Kansas City-based Milbank Manufacturing, an international energy management company, has named Brad Skinner president.
Skinner has more than 30 years with the company and the electrical manufacturing industry. He assumes the post Friday.
He picks up many of the duties of chief executive officer Lavon Winkler, who is retiring the same day. Some of the CEO duties will be picked up by Jim Fitts, Milbank’s chief financial officer.
The company, which employs 581, designs and makes electric metering systems, enclosed controls and other products to move, manage and optimize power for home, business, industrial, utility and transportation uses.
Skinner has helped Milbank expand into the renewable energy business and increase its international business.
He joined the company’s Kansas City plant during his high school years, originally working in the summer months.
Skinner has held a number of technical and management roles at Milbank, including shipping coordinator, production manager and general manager. On the company’s sales side, Skinner has been chief sales officer and senior vice president of sales and marketing.
