Another auto supplier expands at Hunt Midwest complex
Kansas City’s Hunt Midwest SubTropolis said Monday that Grupo Antolin, maker of vehicle headliners, has leased 36,000 square feet in its underground business complex.
Grupo Antolin makes headliners for Ford F-150s and Transit vans and General Motors’ Chevrolet Malibu, plus interior side panel package trays for both automakers. Grupo Antolin already employs about 300 workers in the Kansas City area.
Eleven automotive industry companies have located in the Hunt underground complex and the companion surface Hunt Midwest Business Center since 2011, drawn partly by proximity to the Ford and GM manufacturing plants here, the company said.
Other upfitters and suppliers include Adrian Steel, Knapheide Manufacturing Co., Ground Effects, Midway Ford, Auto Truck Group, AER Manufacturing, Caseco, Leggett & Platt CVP, XPO Logistics and Clore Automotive.
