Mecum collector car auction begins Friday at Bartle Hall
Kick the tires, car fans. At the Bartle Hall convention center this weekend, more than 700 American hot rods, muscle cars and other classics will be on display and up for sale.
The Mecum collector car auction runs Friday and Saturday and is open to buyers, sellers and the general public. The event begins at 8 a.m. each day, with the auction starting at 10 a.m.
The auction, which has been held in Kansas City for more than 20 years, will feature cars from about 20 states. One special attraction on the auction block is a 1968 Shelby GT500KR Fastback. Also for sale are 10 Chevrolet Camaros.
General admission tickets are available at the door for $30 per person per day, or $40 for a two-day pass. Children 12 and under get in free.
