Corona beer is recalled because there might be glass in bottles

Beer drinkers are being warned that they may find more than a lime wedge in their Coronas.

Constellation Brands, which owns the Corona brand in the U.S., said it is recalling some 12-ounce clear bottles because they may contain small pieces of glass.

The bottles in question make up less than a tenth of 1 percent of Corona Extra 12-ounce clear bottles, according to a statement. They are found in certain 12-packs and 18-packs sold in the U.S. and Guam. The company said it hasn’t received reports of customers being injured by the glass.

The recall was announced after routine inspections at two Anheuser-Busch InBev breweries, which produce Constellation’s beer products.
