Will Koch Industries buy Corporate Woods?
Corporate Woods, the 22-building office park in Overland Park, may sell to a bidding group including Koch Industries of Wichita and Waterford Property Co. LLC of Mission.
The Kansas City Business Journal reported today that a joint-venture bid from Woodbury Corp. of Salt Lake City and Copaken Brooks of Kansas City apparently failed to reach a deal.
Sources speculated that the office park could sell for more than $300 million, or about half the price of the recently sold Country Club Plaza.
The office park, now owned by a partnership of CenterSquare Investment Management and Stoltz Real Estate Partners, has changed hands previously. It last sold for $290 million in 2006.
Koch Industries has been investing in commercial real estate for decades.
