Sprint chief experience officer Robert L. Johnson will leave company
Sprint Corp. said Robert L. Johnson, a tenured member of its executive team, is leaving the Overland Park-based wireless carrier.
Johnson has been the company’s chief experience officer, focused on customers, since November 2014. He joined Sprint through its 2005 merger with Nextel, where he had been senior vice president of national field operations since 2002.
In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Sprint said that as of Feb. 25 “it was determined” Johnson would leave the company on April 29.
No reason for his departure was given, and a Sprint spokeswoman declined to comment.
During his years at Sprint, Johnson has been president of its northeast region, chief service officer, information technology officer and president of retail.
