FABCON Precast, a Minnesota-based company that makes precast, pre-stressed concrete wall panels for buildings, said Monday that it plans to operate in Pleasanton, Kan., by July.
The company expects to hire 35 to 40 people, including engineers, drafters, plant managers, production supervisors, quality and asafety assurance staff, skilled manufacturing laborers, construction field personnel and administrative support staff.
The company will take over a plant previously occupied by IPC Inc., a subsidiary of Cretex Companies Inc.
FABCON said the company’s opening of its fourth U.S. plant is its first expansion in 14 years. For more information, go to the company’s website at fabcon-usa.com.
