NIC reports gains in earnings and revenue

NIC Inc. reported higher fourth-quarter earnings and revenue. Full-year results were also higher.

The Olathe-based company, which develops government websites and payment services, said it earned $9 million in the three months that ended Dec. 31, up from $8.3 million a year earlier. Revenue climbed to $71.2 million in the fourth quarter, compared with $66 million in the fourth quarter of 2014.

For the year, NIC earned $41.9 million on revenue of $292.4 million.
