Ferrellgas Partners acquires Topeka propane company

Ferrellgas Partners LP on Tuesday announced the purchase of a Topeka-based propane company.

The Overland Park-based company, which is one of the nation’s largest propane distributors, acquired the propane arm of Kaw Valley Electric Cooperative for an undisclosed amount.

This is Ferrellgas’ fifth retail propane acquisition in its current fiscal year, which started Aug. 1, 2013.
