United Way chief Brent Stewart joins board of Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City
Brent A. Stewart, president and chief executive of the United Way of Greater Kansas City, has joined the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.
The Kansas City Fed is part of the Federal Reserve System, supervising banks in its seven-state region, handling a key role in the nation’s payments system, conducting economic research and analysis, and providing input into the nation’s monetary policy.
Stewart joins the nine-member board as one of three members selected by banks to represent the public for a three-year term. Three members are bankers elected by their peers and three are selected by the board of governors of the Federal Reserve in Washington to represent the public.
