Bukaty Companies recognized
The Bukaty Companies, based in Leawood, was recognized for business excellence by the Kansas Department of Commerce as part of Business Appreciation Month in June. the companies was one of 24 Kansas companies to receive a business excellence award. The financial services company offers commercial insurance, health insurance, payroll and other services.
Scholarship funds
Global Spectrum, which operates the Overland Park Convention Center, and the Aramark food service company each donated $2,500 to the Johnson County Community College Hospitality Management program. This marks the 12th year that the Overland Park Convention Center has supported the hospitality program.
Merriam market
