Southwest keeps KCI route to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport
Southwest Airlines has received regulatory clearance to maintain its daily nonstop flight between Kansas City International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
The airline had been operating the flight on a temporary basis since Feb. 1. Frontier Airlines had previously operated this route.
Rep. Emanuel Cleaver said the U.S. Department of Transportation approved Southwest’s bid to fly the route. Cleaver and other members of the Missouri and Kansas congressional delegation supported Southwest’s application to regulators.
