New Sprint marketing chief Kevin Crull is No. 3 in worldwide ranking
Only a few months into the job, Sprint chief marketing officer Kevin Crull has been named the third most influential executive in that post worldwide.
The nod came from Forbes and ScribbleLive, who have done this ranking for four years and decided to bend their own rules to include Crull in the ranking.
Crull joined Sprint effective May 31. The ranking’s rules required candidates to have been at the post a minimum of eight months this year. Crull won’t hit that milestone until the end of January.
Larry Levy, executive vice president of ScribbleLive and study co-author, said there may have been an “editorial choice” to include Crull because of his high level of influence. He ranked No. 3 behind only Apple’s Phil Schiller — who has won this ranking all four years — and Yum Brands KFC U.S. marketing chief Kevin Hochman.
ScribbleLive used proprietary technology to look at news, social media posts, blogs and discussions about and by the chief marketing officers from May 12 through the end of September. Its ranking, however, was based on the reactions those activities generated — quotes, references, comments and retweets.
