Epiq Systems reports quarterly revenue increase and net loss

Epiq Systems Inc. reported a 26 percent increase in third-quarter operating revenue.

The Kansas City, Kan.-based company, which provides technology services for the legal industry, said revenue climbed to $131.3 million for the three months that ended Sept. 30.

However, Epiq reported a net loss in the quarter of $19.2 million. That compared with net income of $5 million for the same period last year.
