Extra, extra, more newspapers coming

An extra 65,000 copies of Monday’s Kansas City Star are heading to groceries and convenience stores this afternoon.

Brisk demand for the newpaper’s “Royalty” front page followed in the wake of the Kansas City Royals’ World Series victory Sunday in New York. Vending racks will not be refilled.

The Star decided to restock shelves after its first delivery – seven times its normal run – still left stores short of fans’ demand.
