Capitol Federal’s quarterly profit declines
Capitol Federal Financial reported a decrease in its fourth-quarter profit compared with a year earlier, though full-year results were slightly higher.
The Topeka-based company earned $18.8 million in July, August and September, down from $20.2 million a year earlier.
For its fiscal year, Capitol Federal said it earned $78.09 million, compared with $77.69 million for the previous year. Capitol Federal said net interest income in fiscal 2015 increased 3.1 percent to $189.8 million.
Capitol Federal reported total assets of $9.84 billion as of Sept. 30.
