Hallmark names Molly Biwer as new corporate officer

Hallmark Cards has hired Molly Biwer, vice president of corporate communications and public relations at Carlson, to be Hallmark’s senior vice president of public affairs and communications.

Biwer will succeed Steve Doyal, effective Nov. 9. Doyal is retiring after 41 years at Hallmark, 21 of them in Hallmark’s top public affairs and communications role.

Biwer will report to Hallmark president Dave Hall. She will lead Hallmark’s communications, public relations, government affairs and community involvement programs, with oversight for the Hallmark Visitors Center, Kaleidoscope and the philanthropic activities of the Hallmark Corporate Foundation. She also will be a member of Hallmark’s corporate leadership council.

Biwer has been heading employee communications, public relations and corporate culture initiatives at Carlson, a Minneapolis hospitality and travel company. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing education from the University of Minnesota.
