Public meeting on low-wage issues will be held Thursday

Stand Up KC and other advocates for low-wage workers will convene a public hearing at 6 p.m. Thursday at St. Mark’s Hope and Peace Lutheran Church, 3800 Troost Ave.

The event will focus on the Kansas City minimum wage ordinance, its challenge by the Missouri House and the overall effects of poverty-level wages on the community.
