Ferrellgas reports a larger quarterly loss

Ferrellgas Partners LP on Tuesday reported a decline in fourth-quarter revenue and a wider loss.

The Overland Park-based company said revenue was $382.5 million during the three months that ended July 31, down from $399 million in the same period in 2014.

The net loss for the quarter was $59.3 million, compared with a $48.2 million loss in the same quarter a year earlier.

For the year, Ferrellgas earned $30.1 million on revenue of $2.02 billion.
