KC-based insurance broker Lockton announces executive changes

Lockton, founded in 1966 Kansas City and grown to be the world’s largest privately held, independent insurance broker, has announced three Lockton leadership changes.

Glenn Spencer is the new chief operating officer of Lockton, Inc. and president of Lockton Companies in the United States, based in Kansas City. He previously was the U.S. chief operating officer.

Neil Nimmo will become the new chief executive officer of both Lockton Companies LLP in the United Kingdom and Lockton International Holdings Ltd. Nimmo, currently deputy CEO for Lockton’s international operations, will succeed Mike Hammond in May 2016, and be based in London.

Mike Hammond was named the new executive chairman of Lockton International Holdings Ltd., the operating business for Lockton outside the United States.

The three executives will work on Lockton’s continuing global expansion, reporting to Lockton Inc. president and CEO John Lumelleau. Lockton Inc. is headed by chairman David Lockton and vice chairman Ron Lockton.
