Entrepreneurs will compete in Kansas City in the North American Startup Clash
The North American Startup Clash, in which entrepreneurs make their cases for funding, will take place Thursday and Friday in Kansas City.
The semifinals and finals of the Get in the Ring competition, sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation, will have pitches by entrepreneurs from the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Fifteen companies will participate in the semifinal round, which will be livestreamed at 2 p.m. Thursday at www.kauffman.org/gitr. Eight will advance to the final round, which will be livestreamed at 7 p.m. Friday from the Midland.
The winner will get a paid trip to the Netherlands to compete in a global contest for a $10,000 cash prize and additional business exposure. The global event will be held in connection with the Nov. 17-23 Global Entrepreneurship Week, established by the Kauffman Foundation.
