KU Hospital has new TV studio

The University of Kansas Hospital officially debuted on Monday its Dolph C. Simons Jr. Family Broadcast Studio.

The fully functioning television studio, already used during the recent Ebola press conferences, gives the media on-site access to the medical team. It also gives the hospital means to establish a medical news network to disseminate video and other information to reporters.

The studio, located on the hospital’s main floor, was assisted by a major gift from Simons, long-time publisher of the Lawrence Journal World, and his family.
