Terry Dunn, president and chief executive of JE Dunn Construction Group, will start a one-year term Saturday as chairman of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.

It will be the second time Dunn has served in the chamber’s top volunteer leadership role. His first stint as chairman was in 2002-2003.

Dunn succeeds Roshann Parris, president and chief executive of Parris Communications.

The chamber’s chairman-elect, who is in line to serve as the chamber’s chairman beginning in November 2015, is Terry Bassham, president and chief operating officer of KCP&L.

Other top officers for the coming 12 months are vice chairwoman Karen Daniel, chief financial officer of Black & Veatch, and treasurer Matt Condon, chief executive of Bardavon Health Innovation.

The chamber also elected 20 area business representatives to three-year terms as board members. Additionally, the chamber board includes about 20 other individuals appointed to represent area governments, universities, nonprofits and civic organizations.

Irv Belzer, a lawyer at Bryan Cave, was reappointed legal counsel for the board.

The chamber will honor outgoing, renewing and incoming officers and board members at its annual dinner, scheduled for Nov. 25 at the Kansas City Convention Center.
