Bats Global Markets reaches trading records

Bats Global Markets, the Lenexa-based electronic stock trading exchange, on Tuesday said its share of U.S. equities trading climbed to a record 22 percent in August.

It surpassed the previous record of 21.4 percent set last October.

Bats also reported a record 10.9 percent share of U.S. options trading for the month.
