Carstar reports record first half revenue
Leawood-based Carstar Auto Body Repair Experts on Monday said it generated record revenue of $386.2 million in the first half of 2015, putting it on track to exceed last year’s record performance.
Last year, Carstar generated $712 million in revenue.
The company, which operates a network of about 430 independently owned collision repair facilities in 30 states and 10 Canadian provinces, also said sales at locations open one year or more were up 8.3 percent for the first six months of this year compared with the same period in 2014.
“We are seeing higher repair values as consumers continue to purchase new cars,” said David Byers, Carstar’s chief executive officer. “And while the second quarter tends to have lower weather-involved repairs due to spring conditions, we saw strong growth across the network.”
