KC Fed promotes financial education for teens
The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City will host more than 200 high school students Wednesday at a half-day event that promotes financial education.
The Kansas City Fed, along with other regional Federal Reserve banks around the country, will provide hands-on teaching on topics such as budgeting, debt management and making wise choices about investing in themselves.
The Kansas City area students participating in the event are part of the 20/20 Leadership Program, a bi-state program created in 1993 to help break down social, racial, economic, academic and geographic barriers. The program also assists students in career and workforce development.
