KCI passenger traffic increases

Passenger traffic at Kansas City International Airport got off to a positive start during the summer travel season.

The Kansas City Aviation Department said that the total number of passengers arriving and departing from the airport in June grew 1.5 percent to 980,483 travelers.

It marked the 14th consecutive month for traffic gains at KCI.

During June, the passenger boardings at KCI were up 1.6 percent.
