Highwoods Properties reports higher revenue, profits

Highwoods Properties Inc., which owns the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, on Tuesday reported higher second-quarter revenue and profits.

The Raleigh, N.C.-based company said revenue increased to $161.1 million for the three months that ended June 30, up from $152.7 million in the second quarter a year ago.

Net income grew to $25.2 million for the quarter compared with $22.7 million a year earlier.
