Epiq Systems reports quarterly revenue gain
Epiq Systems Inc. on Monday reported a 13 percent increase in second-quarter revenue and a smaller loss compared with year-earlier results.
The Kansas City, Kan.-based electronic legal services company said quarterly revenue climbed to $130.6 million from $115.4 million in last year’s second quarter. Revenue increased in the company’s two main business segments — technology, and bankruptcy and settlement administration.
The quarterly loss of $3.2 million was down slightly from 2014’s $3.4 million loss for the three months that ended June 30. Epiq said the latest loss was partly due to expenses related to its recent acquisition of Iris Data Services.
